Church Mission

Our Mission:
God has a mission for the church of every time and place. AUMC shares in that universal mission. Here is what we are to be about.

Magnify the Lord:
We as a church are to be worshipping the Lord and putting God first in our lives. Corporate and private worship helps us keep God first. Worship reminds us that the Lord is God and we are not.

Make Disciples:
We are to be helping individuals both near and far come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. We endeavor to do so by sharing with others the love of Jesus in a variety of life giving ways that ministry to the whole person.

Mature:
We are to be providing opportunities for those who have begun a relationship with Jesus to mature in their faith. Our goal is for everyone connected to AUMC to be becoming more and more like Jesus.

Minister:
Ministry is service and we are called to serve others both within the church and in the world. We are called to serve especially “the least of these” and in doing so we serve Jesus.
